U.S. Logistics past performance bridges two major areas of maintenance: Vehicle Maintenance and Aircraft Maintenance/Services.
Vehicle Maintenance
Corrosion Abatement Programs
Corrosion Abatement Programs were conducted by U.S. Logistics personnel under a sub-contract to TVSLP for labor during the period between July 2000 and July 2002 on over 3600 FMTV vehicles. The programs were completed within budget and on, or ahead of, schedule. Those programs included Inspection and Repair Only as Necessary vehicle deterioration from corrosion conditions, and re-application of protective coatings for frame, body, and cab components.
House Appropriations Committee (HAC) Programs
House Armed Forces Committee Programs (HAC) are conducted by U.S. Logistics personnel under sub contracts for labor from October 2000 through Septmeber 2004. This program upgraded over 10,000 FMTV vehicles deployed worldwide. The installation of over 100 part numbers per vehicle included over 400 components in several major assemblies or systems.
HAC Programs for All FMTV Vehicle Variants CONUS
Various phases of the HAC activities have been completed below budget and on, or ahead of, schedule. Those activities have occurred at a number of U.S. Army facilities or commercial facilities to support field requirements. The remainder of this project is currently on standby awaiting the return of troops and vehicles from the Middle East.
HAC Programs for All FMTV Vehicle Variants OCONUS
In addition to completing HAC activities at CONUS, U.S. Logistics has also performed HAC activities at a number of OCONUS sites.
HAC Programs for FMTV Dump Vehicle Variants
Within a separate program under the same contract and sub-contract framework, U.S. Logistics provided shop supervisors, inspectors, mechanics, drivers, administrative specialists and supply support specialists in support of the FMTV Dump Vehicle retrofit, (Models M1090 and M1094). This program was completed under budget and ahead of schedule.
Maintenance Work Order Application on FMTV Tractor Variant M1088
In a separate sub-contract role to TVSLP, U.S. Logistics is currently providing the replacement of the tractor platform on 2417 tractors, installation of frame stiffening kits on 1509 tractors, and inspection and replacement of frames, if necessary, for 78 tractors. The MWO includes over 1480 components of over 100 part numbers.
The MWO application has been completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
HMWWV Up-Armor Support in Kuwait
U.S. Logistics provided a maintenance team of 14 mechanics to support the HMWWV Up-Armor Program in Kuwait. This program was completed ahead of schedule and received commendation from all involved. The task was initiated to supplement an on-going HMWWV Up-Armor Program by the OEM, American General, to expedite that effort.
FMTV Reconstitution
Through a purchase order from TVSLP, U.S. Logistics provided up to 300 personnel to support a base contract with 3-6 month options from July 2004 through July 2006, to rework up to 1600 FMTV vehicles to 10/20 Standards in a U.S. Logistics leased facility at Killeen, Texas. This effort supported U.S. Army III Corps, Ft. Hood, Texas. U.S. Logistics held a job fair and recruited and fielded this work force in under two weeks. In addition to the work force at Killeen, Texas, U.S. Logistics has provided two supply support personnel at the TVSLP facilities located at Sealy, Texas, in support of this contract.
HEMTT Reconstitution
U.S. Logistics received a purchase order from TVSLP to provide over 130 personnel including supervisors, drivers, quality assurance inspectors, supply technicians, and mechanics to support four month contract with options to rework up to 600 HEMTT vehicles to 10/20 Standards in a U.S. Logistics leased facility at Killeen, Texas, in support of U.S. Army III Corps, Ft. Hood, Texas. U.S. Logistics held a job fair and recruited and fielded this work force in under two weeks. Without additiional cost to the government,the contract was extended to accommodate government induced delays in providing Government Furnished Material (GFM parts and lubricants) and in providing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE special tools and supply support computer equipment). The Ft. Hood HEMTT Reconstitution program was completed during the period from August 2002 to June 2005.
FMTV National Reset Program
In a sub-contractual purchase order role to TVSLP, U.S. Logistics provided a Quality Assurance Inspector to support the FMTV National Reset Program at the SSTVS facility in Sealy, Texas. During the period from March 2004 to May 2005, this inspector provided incoming technical inspections, interface and coordination with government DCMC personnel for incoming conditions, and support activity to TVSLP personnel in the FMTV Reset production line that inducted over 200 vehicles.
FMTV Up-Armor Support in Iraq
U.S. Logistics has furnished six mechanic personnel to support TVSLP maintenance support for FMTV vehicles in Iraq. This effort provides Periodic Maintenance Checks/Services (PMCS) for FMTV vehicles in conjunction with the FMTV Up-Armor effort in that theater under separate contract. The effort includes work weeks of 84 hours for each position during the base period and continuing options beginning in August 2004.
Aircraft Maintenance
U.S. Logistics fulfills both a prime and sub-contractor relationship with U.S. Air Force and U.S. Air Reserve activities.
U.S. Logistics C-17 Contract, Charleston AFB, Charleston, South Carolina
U.S. Logistics is the prime contractor to Charleston AFB, Charleston, South Carolina for washing and landing gear service for C-17 aircraft. In this capacity, U.S. Logistics provides the skilled management, technicians and support personnel as well as supplies and equipment to provide aircraft washing and landing gear services to a fleet of 54 C17 aircraft, with an anticipated through-put of 324 services per year. This contract has a base year and nine option years.
U.S. Logistics C-130 Contract, Dobbins ARB, Dobbins, Georgia
U.S. Logistics is in Mentor Protégé subcontractor role at Dobbins ARB, Georgia for corrosion wash, cleaning, and landing gear service for C-130 aircraft. U.S. Logistics provides the skilled management, technicians, and support personnel, as well as supplies and equipment to provide aircraft washing and landing gear services to a fleet of 10 C-130 aircraft with an anticipated through-put of 40 services per year. This contract began in October, 2004, and both CMT Solutions and Dobbins ARB are extremely satisfied with the relationship that has been established and the results on the services. CMT Solutions is Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
U.S. Logistics C17 Contract, Jackson, MS, ANG, Jackson, Mississippi
U.S. Logistics, in prime contractor role, was selected to provide corrosion wash, complete major interior clean, and landing gear service to the C-17 aircraft assigned to the Air National Guard in Jackson, Mississippi. The services are being performed in the U.S. Logistics facility at Charleston, AFB, South Carolina. The current contract includes service on all seven aircraft assigned to the Jackson, ANG, including e skilled management, technicians, and support personnel as well as supplies and equipment. Jackson, ANG is extremely satisfied with the services provided.
